The reality of starvation around the world

Imagine your child asking for food and you having to say “not today.”

That is daily life for tens of millions of families right now. Global assessments show that almost 295 million people endured acute hunger in 2024 the sixth consecutive year of rising acute food insecurity in many regions.

In several crisis settings, famine-level conditions now threaten communities with widespread starvation.

In Yemen, more than 16 million people struggle to find food and hospitals are overwhelmed with malnourished children.

In Haiti, violence, recession, and failed harvests have left millions dependent on aid. Markets that used to feed towns have shut; mothers are rationing their rations and saving the little they have for their children.

The consequences are immediate, children too weak to learn, families forced to sell what little they own, communities losing the ability to recover.

🇵🇸 2025 Mission: Feeding Gaza with Mercy

As our brothers and sisters in Gaza continue to endure unimaginable hardship, Ihsan Welfare is committed to standing by them.

In 2025, our goal is to deliver 1 million hot meals, bringing warmth, nourishment, and hope to families who have lost everything.

Your donation is more than food, it’s rahmah (mercy) in action.
It’s a mother feeding her child after days of hunger.

It’s a believer sharing in the suffering of another.

It’s a chance to earn Allah’s pleasure through the most beloved deeds: feeding the hungry.

“They give food, in spite of their love for it, to the needy, the orphan, and the captive, (saying): We feed you for the sake of Allah alone…” — Surah Al-Insan [76:8–9]

How much is a meal?

🍲 10 Hot Meals: $50 USD

🍲 20 Hot Meals: $100 USD

🍲 50 Hot Meals: $250 USD

🍲 100 Hot Meals: $500 USD

In Gaza, a meal costs $5 but due to increased costs and limited access a hot meal now costs $10.

May Allah help our brothers and sisters who are suffering from hunger and pain wherever they may be. Ameen.

There was a woman who was granted Jannah solely for providing water to a thirsty dog. This one action guaranteed success for her in the Akhira.

If Allah's mercy knows no bounds in satisfying the needs of animals, imagine the rewards awaiting those who meet the needs of their fellow brothers and sisters.

The essence of a believer is to feed the poor

According to a narration, when those cast into the flames of Jahannum will be questioned about their actions, ‘They will say:

“We were not of those who prayed, nor did we used to feed the poor…“ - Qur’an, 74:43-44

Every time a hungry person comes to us, it is actually Allah who is asking us to feed that person and, no true believer would we be able to turn them away?
